Tchad Blake

Tchad Blake is an American record producer, audio engineer, mixer, and musician whose distinctive sound and creative vision have made him one of the most respected figures in the music industry. A native of Baytown, Texas, Blake has worked with a vast array of renowned artists spanning multiple genres, from rock and indie to jazz and alternative music.
Blake’s career is marked by collaborations with a diverse range of influential musicians, including Al Green, Fiona Apple, U2, Pearl Jam, Sheryl Crow, The Black Keys, Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Ani DiFranco, The Pretenders, and The Arctic Monkeys. His versatile skill set has allowed him to contribute to a wide spectrum of styles, leaving an indelible mark on the sound of each project he works on.
His unique approach to production and mixing has earned Blake multiple Grammy Awards, beginning with a Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical win for Sheryl Crow’s The Globe Sessions (1998), which also earned him a Best Rock Album Grammy. He went on to win another Grammy for Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical for his work on Suzanne Vega’s Beauty & Crime (2007). Blake also won two Grammys for his work with The Black Keys on their critically acclaimed album Brothers (2010).
