Josh Gudwin

Josh Gudwin is a highly acclaimed mix engineer, record producer, vocal producer, and musician with a career spanning over two decades. Known for his versatility and technical expertise, Gudwin has earned five US Grammys and seven Latin Grammys, cementing his status as one of the industry's most respected engineers and producers. His influence spans across pop and Latin music, working with some of the biggest names in the business.

Gudwin’s journey began after his graduation, when he joined the Record Plant Studios in Hollywood, CA, starting as an assistant engineer. His talents were quickly recognized, and he was promoted to session engineer, earning credits with major label artists such as T-Pain, T.I., Keyshia Cole, and Lionel Richie. In 2008, he began collaborating with Kuk Harrell, a five-time Grammy-winning songwriter and vocal producer, which marked a turning point in his career. This partnership opened doors for Gudwin to engineer for superstars like Justin Bieber, Rihanna, and Jennifer Lopez.

In 2013, Josh became Justin Bieber’s exclusive vocal producer, contributing to over 10 projects with the artist, including the highly successful albums Purpose, Changes, and Justice. Gudwin’s involvement spanned multiple roles, including producer, A&R, composer, and mixer, further showcasing his multifaceted talents. His work on “Despacito (Justin Bieber Remix)” and Dua Lipa's “Levitating” solidified his influence in both the pop and Latin music scenes.

Gudwin has also made his mark on the Latin music world, mixing the first four Bad Bunny albums and the J Balvin/Bad Bunny collaborative album Oasis. His diverse portfolio includes working with an extensive list of artists, such as Sabrina Carpenter, Tate Mcrae, BLACKPINK, Bebe Rexha, Jon Batiste, Ice Spice, and many others.

Beyond his work in the studio, Josh Gudwin has contributed to the music industry through his leadership roles. He has served as Co-Chair of The Recording Academy’s Los Angeles Chapter P&E Wing and currently holds his second term as Governor of the Los Angeles Chapter Board.
